Large 18th century Georgian Old Sheffield Salver England C.1780.  Rare oval shape on four turned supports, bead border and engraved crest of stag in the centre with monogram beneath. Original patina, bleeding in on high points. The base with original tinned underside plate and original duplicated strip soldered strengthening mount, typical of the period.  Measures: 16 x 12 x 1.5 inches
