Pair of French or Flemish Tapestries, Signed P. Groller 99, France, circa 1899. Jacquard or drawloom, black and natural cotton and silk weft, multicolored cotton or linen warp, green, rose gold and white. Pictorial strolling couples in landscape, in period military costume and couple on a bridge wearing period military costumes. Woven signature and date...P. Groller 99. Original brass trim frames. Condition: There are stains as seen in photographs and probably could do with a restoration. The last image shows a reverse back image of one tapestry, the other tapestry has a cover. Measures: 20 7/8 x 15 1/4 inches. Please note whilst the signature and date '99 could be much earlier, we are dating these tapestries to 1899.
