Antique Georgian Silver Teapot London 1771 William and James Priest. The teapot of bullet shape, the body plain engraved with monogram of intertwining initials and crest of coronet above. The teapot on spreading circular foot, with short form curved spout, the silver loop handle with plain double scroll, the cover flush with plain finial, the underside clearly and fully hallmarked. Wing nut in cover also with lion passant. Unusual in that a silver handle is used, unlike most London made contemporaneous examples where wood is the more common material. Length: 7.75 inches.
