Exceptional and rare set of four Silver Master Salts or Ramekins, Hunt & Roskell, late Storr & Mortimer, London 1854. The salts of cylindrical form with upper and lower bead rims, the central surround with applied cut card foliate design, vacant cartouche all against solid background, gilt interiors. Measure: 3 x 1.5 inches. Total Weight: 625.69 grams (20.11 oz) Fully hallmarked for John S. Hunt, Hunt & Roskell, late Storr & Mortimer and numbered 7437. Hunt & Roskell, a firm of manufacturing and retail jewellers and silversmiths, was founded by Paul Storr in 1819, trading as Storr & Co.
